Name : Hudson East

Age: 22

Residence: London

Mitch: Describe your sound?

Hudson: I believe I’m still finding my sound as my music generally shows an array of different styles/genres. I’m not a predictable artist and I like to push the envelope with what I can do.

M: Explain the name of the project and what it means to you?

H: East Ave is the second instalment of my journey so far; It’s a more in-depth look into me as an artist and my musical range. The name is just keeping to the ‘East’ theme playing off my name. & East Ave;

M: Is executive produced by Scoops and Neeks. Explain what they did and brought the project ?

H: Scoops and Neeks had very important roles in regards to guiding me with the sonics and the direction as I had experimented with a lot of new sounds for this project but had consciously selected a few that would make the project sound like seamless listen and not just random tracks whilst still bringing some new fresh elements to the table.

M: You only have two features (TE Dness & Ele May)  on the project,  Why is that ?

H: With features I don’t want to do them for the sake of having a feature as I feel I have a lot to share and say so the supporters can really connect with me through the music. For the songs that featured both TE Dness and Ellé May (Who are both extremely talented artists!) they were suited for and made perfect sense as they helped me express the vision further; exactly how I intended.

M: You’ve had support from the likes of Nines and Konan who are heavyweights in the scene? How did those connections  come about and how does it feel having those guys recognise your art ?

H: Music,music and music. The one thing I care about the most is providing the best quality/content of music I can and by doing this both Nines and Konan had caught wind of the movement and what I was doing quite early which is super dope as they are both artist’s I’ve been listening to and following their work for a very long time so to have them acknowledge my art was surreal.

M: What other up and coming artist from your area do you think we should be watching out for ?

H: Knucks, his vibe is super wavy. He’s definitely next up!

M: Aside from the music what other interest do you have?

H: I’m intrigued by the film world (directing, editing etc.) this is definitely something I am going to explore especially with my own music videos.

M: What else can we expect from you in the future?

H: More More More, the run doesn’t stop.
