CRXY is one artist who isn’t ashamed or bashful about letting you in on his life. From a creator of music to vlog videos of his daily living, I can’t help but wonder who this guy is. In 2017 CRXY released two singles, “Go Getter” and “We Ain’t the Same.” Although he’s released music before 2017, these two projects seem to be the first of many official career building projects. You can see the growth in quality from his freestyle video “Mezmerized” compared to “Go Getter”. It’s no secret that being an artist and working in entertainment isn’t a walk in the park. Being self-made in this industry has always been the norm, even if you have a team of investors and management it’s up to the artist to see out the vision for the audience. It’s refreshing, to say the least, to watch a music video then see CRXY on vacation at Soca Weekend.

Just a few weeks ago CRXY released a new single entitled “Remedi.” At first listen, I would never have guessed that he had other tracks out in the viral world that sounded amazing. “Remedi” is very straight to the point and has a chilled out vibe. The song could have evoked a bit more of emotion, especially with the topic at hand. The creative intent doesn’t go unnoticed, despite the raw sound; Then again, maybe raw is the intent. Despite the lack of emotion in tone, this is still an excellent song to play after a night of Soca & Dancehall jammin’
